Alphabet's Google, along with TPG Rise Climate and other investors, is backing clean energy developer Intersect Power as part more than $800 million funding round, the company said on Tuesday.
Intersect Power has also secured more than $800m in a funding round led by TPG Rise Climate and Google, with Climate Adaptive Infrastructure and Greenbelt Capital Partners participating.
Google and its partners are being coy about details at the moment. The partnership aims to build out “gigawatts” of new capacity, but Google and Intersect declined to say exactly how much.
