The freeze warning is for Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker and Washington counties.

HOUSTON – The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for our northern and western counties from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. Wednesday. The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported. For Austin, Colorado, Polk and Waller counties temperatures can drop as low as 32°.

Tuesday will be breezy and cool across Southeast Texas as a cold front pushes to the coast. A freeze watch is in effect north of Houston Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service Tuesday urged residents in areas with freezing conditions to protect tender plants and vegetation, bring pets indoors and check on elderly family and neighbors.

It’s another cold morning across Southeast Texas with wake up temperatures below freezing in some locations. We will monitor mostly sunny skies through mid-day which will help temperatures rise to the mid-60s today.
