New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel spoke about the immediate goals for the team when fielding media questions at the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday.

Bill Belichick controlled every aspect of the New England Patriots’ football operations for more than two decades. When he left the organization after the 2023 season, the organization was therefore forced to adapt its approach and modernize its hierarchy.

Asked about the team’s plan for free agency and upgrading the roster (potentially via trade), Vrabel gave a straightforward overview. “Hopefully aggressive. We want to be aggressive,” Vrabel explained of the team’s strategy in a press conference.
