OXNARD, Calif. (AP) — Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones credited an experimental trial drug for successfully treating advanced melanoma as he disclosed his cancer diagnosis publicly for the first time.

Jerry Jones is lifting the lid on his secret battle with cancer. The loquacious Dallas Cowboys owner, 82, told The Dallas Morning News he was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma in June 2010 and survived a decade-long fight thanks to an experimental drug.
