Kelly Clarkson’s new special will blend live performances with heartfelt storytelling as she interviews today’s most influential and chart-topping artists.

One of the most intriguing parts of the episode was when Nick and Clarkson went down memory lane and remembered that they inadvertently did a song with Saturday Night Live legend Steve Martin two years ago. "I get this call, they're like, 'Hey, can you approve this split for this song with Kelly?" Nick recalled.

The first episode of Songs & Stories with Kelly Clarkson airs on Aug. 19. From there, a new episode will drop every week on Tuesdays until the four-part special ends on Sept. 9. Here's the full release schedule: All episodes will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT and will be one hour long.

Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s cause of death has been revealed. Blackstock died at age 48 on Aug. 7 of melanoma, a form of skin cancer, Silver Bow County Coroner Dan Hollis told People on Monday. The manner of death was natural causes, Hollis confirmed.
