The defending World Series champs can reach their 17th National League Championship Series with a Game 3 win Wednesday in Los Angeles.

In what was nearly a comeback by the Philadelphia Phillies in the bottom of the ninth, the Los Angeles Dodgers' infield defense held firm, defeating the Phillies 4-3 on the road Monday to take a 2-0 lead in the National League Division Series.
