A Michigan State right handed pitcher commit, and Bay City native, was selected in the sixth round of the MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Angels

With the No. 38 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, the New York Mets selected two-way player Mitch Voit from Michigan baseball.

Mitch Voit is the Michigan baseball program’s highest MLB draft pick since 2000. The second baseman was selected in the first round at No. 38 overall by the New York Mets on Sunday night, becoming the first Wolverines player selected in the first round since David Parish 25 years ago.
