The pilot of the private jet that crashed early Thursday morning in Tierrasanta, killing all six people on board and injuring eight people on the ground, did not declare an emergency or call in any type of mechanical issue with the plane before it clipped a power line and slammed into a residential street, federal authorities said Friday.

Three people were identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office as victims of a plane crash on a residential street in San Diego early Thursday morning.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of a San Diego plane crash that left at least three people dead and several others injured in the military housing neighborhood of Murphy Canyon on Thursday.
