Fifty-five attorneys general around the country have now signed on to a $7.4 billion settlement with drugmaker Purdue Pharma and its owners, the Sackler family, over the opioid crisis, officials said.

Georgia could receive up to $126 million from a national opioid settlement with Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family.

The plan will also end the Sacklers’ control of the company and their ability to sell opioids, if it’s approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
