Uber has announced a new "Route Share" feature that takes multiple riders on a predetermined route at a set time each day. If that sounds a little familiar, you're not alone.

Route Share is available during weekday commuting hours, and passengers can ride with up to two other people. It's half the cost of an UberX, Uber said in an announcement Wednesday.
