On a recent podcast, Sam Altman explained why he thinks Meta falls short but OpenAI ‘is good at repeatable innovation.’

Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta offered employees of rival OpenAI signing bonuses of $100 million to switch companies, according to Open AI CEO Sam Altman.

While Meta had sought to hire "a lot of people" from OpenAI, "so far none of our best people have decided to take them up on that," Sam Altman said.
