Earlier this offseason in July, the Green Bay Packers signed offensive tackle Zach Tom to a four-year extension worth $88 million (up to $92 million). Miller is now another offensive tackle earning more than $20 million per season. That's probably the starting point for negotiations between Cross and the Seahawks.

Seahawks left tackle Charles Cross had been trying to play through a finger injury this summer, but he ultimately opted for a different direction to get ready for the regular season.

Charles Cross left training camp to have surgery in Los Angeles on a dislocated ring finger he practiced with through the first week of Seattle’s camp. Coach Mike Macdonald said following practice Thursday his four-year starter at left tackle should be back practicing by the end of August.
