Stephen Colbert made a surprise appearance Friday on a Monroe public-access television show, less than a day after hosting his final episode of “The Late Show.”

Colbert was the guest host of 'Only in Monroe,' in Monroe, Michigan, Friday with guests Jack White and Jeff Daniels. He had previously hosted the show in 2015 before taking over 'The Late Show.'

CBS and Paramount backed away from copyright challenges to limit distribution of Stephen Colbert's appearance on a Michigan cable access show. He ended his run as host of "The Late Show" on Friday.
