The attempted robbery happened just before 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Bloom Credit Union on Plainfield Avenue NE. A masked Brubaker entered the bank and gave a teller a note informing her a robbery was in progress, Grand Rapids police wrote in an affidavit.
