Woods was referencing the injury he sustained earlier this year while training. On Tuesday, March 11, he revealed on Instagram that he’d had successful surgery to repair a tear in his Achilles. But really, a month wasn’t long enough to fully heal.

According to friend and peer Fred Couples, Tiger is doing quite well less than two weeks removed from surgery. Couples offered an update on his buddy during a Champions Tour stop in Newport Beach on Friday, explaining that Woods was in "great spirits" when they recently spoke.

Woods was apparently keen not to miss out on the whimsical nature of April 1 by posting a playful update on his recovery from Achilles surgery
