Hurricane Priscilla has strengthened to a Category 2 storm and could become a major hurricane off the Pacific coast of Mexico.
Should another weather system develop into a tropical storm, it would be named Jerry, which is next on the list of 2025 Atlantic storm names.
"We believe that it has a good chance of becoming a tropical storm over the next few days,” one meteorologist told Newsweek.
Tropical Storm Imelda may strengthen into a hurricane, with flooding risks from Florida to Virginia and highest threats along the Carolinas.
The storm is spinning in the Pacific, but continues to weaken. Meantime, the NHC is tracking three other disturbances in the Pacific and Atlantic.
