The American Bar Association is suing the Trump administration over what it calls its “Law Firm Intimidation Policy.” The suit, filed in Washington, D.C., claims that the Trump administration’s executive orders restricting the capacity of firms he has a grudge against to conduct business has caused a “pervasive fear” within the legal community.

The American Bar Association sued the Trump administration Monday, saying the president’s aggressive crackdown on large law firms aligned against him has chilled lawyers’ ability to litigate cases, especially pro bono legal work on hot-button issues like immigration.
