It's officially time to say goodbye to the Wells Fargo Center and hello to the Xfinity Mobile Arena.The shared South Philadelphia arena changed its name Thursday, weeks before it was originally scheduled to take effect.

The Wells Fargo Center is no more. Comcast Spectacor, the arena’s owner, announced in May that the venue’s name would change to Xfinity Mobile Arena on Sept. 1. A ceremony is still planned for early September to officially unveil the new signage,
