Korokī Te Rata Mahuta Tāwhiao Pōtatau Te Wherowhero (16 June 1906 – 18 May 1966) was the fifth Māori King. He was the elder son of the fourth Māori King, Te Rata Mahuta, and Te Uranga of the Ngāti Korokī tribe.

The fifth Māori King, Korokī Te Rata Mahuta Tāwhiao Pōtatau Te Wherowhero struggled to maintain the dignity of the Kīngitanga and obtain recognition during his reign.

The kingship was passed on to the eldest son of Te Rata, Korokī, who reluctantly accepted, and became , the fifth Māori king, known as Korokī Te Rata Mahuta Tāwhiao Pōtatau Te Wherowhero. He was crowned on 8 October 1933.
