4 days ago · In December 2024, Donkey Kong Country in Universal Studios Japan officially opened.It is an expansion to Super Nintendo World, which first opened in 2021. The expansion features the same Mine-Cart Madness roller-coaster that will be present at Epic Universe, Jungle Beat Shakes quick-service dining location, as well as Funky’s Fly ‘n’ Buy gift shop.

Donkey Kong’s coaster is going to be a truly wild one, as it is the first of its kind. The “boom coaster” creates an illusion of jumping over sections of broken track, just like the historic Donkey Kong game. This attraction will debut in Universal Studios Japan in 2024.
