He doesn’t need sight to run races, he just needs to believe in himself. On Monday, Ashton had his first cross country race, it wasn’t an actual meet with other city teams but he did race the kids in his team. When we were driving over he was worried that he hadn’t placed in track last season in the spring and he was sad he would never place in a race where he was the only blind runner. I told him that he didn’t need to worry about placing or winning medals he just needed to remember why he love
