How polar bears stay warm 🐻‍❄️ Polar bears have two great adaptations for staying warm. The first is that their hair is hollow, so air is trapped in the middle of the hair, a really good insulator. The other thing is an oil that polar bears secrete from their skin that stops snow from building up on them. So the polar bears are white, but they don't have snow on them.
