I recently rediscovered this crazy bit of history. In 2007 l interviewed Heath Ledger and as fate would have it it would sadly end up being one of the only times he talked about his process of creating the Joker for THE DARK KNIGHT. Just a couple months later we lost Heath (I remember vividly hearing the news while at the Sundance Film Festival). I only chatted with him a couple times in my career but always found him to be a gentle, thoughtful, playful guy. His nervous energy was immediately en
