Do you know if your horse is lateral or diagonal??? You can't just guess what a horse is going based on a head nod. Both of these horses have a head nod, but they are not doing the same movement. Diagonal = trotty = square = opposite legs moving together Lateral = pacey = legs on the same side moving together or almost together The different gaits are confusing, especially when the internet came agree on what specific gaits are.
