The Amish in my community are not allowed to have Bible studies. Their beliefs are that if you read the Bible too much, it will deceive you. Sometimes when someone does start studying the Bible, they see things that are against the Amish beliefs and they are not allowed to speak out about it or they could get shunned, even a preacher can get shunned for preaching anything that is different than what the Amish already teach.
