Bush-bashing Army style 👊 An Australian Army Light Armoured Vehicle (ASLAV) from 2nd Cavalry Regiment conducted a river crossing during Exercise Regional Warfighter at Tully Training Area, Queensland. The training exposed troops to operating in the jungle while dismounted, as well as understanding the complexities of operating mounted in armoured vehicles in the density of jungle terrain, as the ASLAVs need to operate differently depending on the terrain. #AusArmy #TrainedAndReady #Army #YourAD

The longest-serving ADF vehicle in the Middle East has arrived at the Memorial. Australian Light Armoured Vehicle (ASLAV) ARN 16310 supported Australian operations in Iraq and Afghanistan for nearly a decade, before returning home to serve with ‘B’ Squadron, 2/14 Light Horse Regiment (Queensland Mounted Infantry). Now craned into the new Anzac Atrium, it will represent decades of Australian Army service from East Timor to Iraq and Afghanistan when the space opens to visitors in the coming months
