Bulgarian Chicago business owner Nenko Gantchev, 56, died while in ICE custody at North Lake Correctional Facility in Baldwin, Michigan. ▪️ Gantchev had lived in Chicago for 30 years, owned a trucking company, paid taxes, and was married to a U.S. citizen. He was arrested in September while attending a green card interview at the USCIS Chicago office. ▪️ The Department of Homeland Security says the death is suspected to be from natural causes, but the official cause remains under investigation.
