Blowing a solid 40 gusting into the 50’s 💨⛵️ with a scrap of jib just flying along then 💥 BOOM!! Our downwind pole lets loose and slams into the side Delos! All hands harnessed up and on deck immediately to see what the heck that shotgun blast was. All lines are in place, railing bent, and pole is jammed between deck toe rail and stanchions. I first thought we popped a strand but luckily no, lines just stretched to the brink. It took some doing but finally got everything sorted and enough sail
