Here in the Gosport Constituency we have a proud history of serving our Armed Forces. On 80th anniversary of D-Day we not only remember the heroes of our past, but also think to the future security of our nation. In 2016 it was announced that the Royal Naval School of Engineering at HMS Sultan was threatened with closure. I was clear that this would be a disaster for both the Royal Navy and for Gosport.
